Sabine's Diary for Daddy

I can't wait for my Daddy to hold me and play with me! In the meantime, I'll post here so he can see what I'm up to!

Yucky - Yucky- Yuck

Mommy and I haven't been feeling very well this week. If you've seen us, please take some vitamin C and get lots of rest.

This week Mommy got to spend time with her friends who love Japan and I stayed with Grandma and Grandpa K. It would have been more fun if I didn't have a fever. Mommy was a bit worried and she was so happy that Dr Mindy loves me enough to let Mommy call her at home! Mommy told Dr Mindy (Aunt Mindy on non-medical days) that if she ever needed a Japanese translation to call her regardless of what time it was.... Dr Minday laughed and said she didn't think she'd need that any time soon.... but you never know.

I love you so much Daddy. Mommy wore your red shirt yesterday and we snuggled on the couch thinking of your arms around us both. Mommy said it smelled like you.... a clean Daddy.

I love you, Daddy!

Love,

Mommy's Busy Day

I probably could have cooperated a bit more, but today I just didn't feel very well. I just wanted to cuddle with Mommy all day. But my baby teeth are starting to come in, so nursing and the bottle didn't feel good either. Mommy gave me squash mixed with rice cereal and that helped me feel a little bit better. Just as Mommy was starting to relax, she got a call from the television station. They were on their way to interview Mommy about when she was at the Olympics. Here's the link to that story: http://khastv.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=3715

After the interview, Mommy and Grandpa W went to a basketball game and left me at home! (with Grandma W, of course) We were both feeling yucky and Mommy didn't want me to catch any germs. So at the basketball game the high school students gave Mommy a whole bunch of pens and markers and crayons for the kids in Iraq for Daddy to pass out. He's going to be so surprised!

I'm off to bed. Mommy is going to get some sleep too.

Love you Daddy!!!

Love,
Sabine

Sabine's TV debut

Yesterday a really nice lady named Ginger ten Bensel came to Grandma and Grandpa Whiting's to talk to Mommy about the pen project Daddy has. Daddy has been giving children in Iraq pens instead of candy and Mommy has been asking everyone to send him pens.

So many people have been helping Mommy gather up pens. Right now there's a box of pens and crayons in the dining room. Tomorrow Mommy is taking me to a basketball game at her old high school where the student council will give us several boxes to send to Daddy. I don't know how many, but it seems like there will be a lot for those kids over there.

Talking with Ginger was fun. Bonnie dog was on TV too! Oh, and you can see the pretty necklace Daddy sent Mommy from Iraq in this photo.

This article talks about Mommy, but these pens are really all about Daddy and how much Mommy misses him.

I love you, Daddy

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, DADDY!!

Big hug and lots of kisses to you. Daddy! Here's Mommy and me at Grandma & Grandpa W's house. See the beautiful roses behind me? Mommy said you sent them to her. I saw her cry just a little bit when she read the card. The other single roses behind Mommy came from Grandpa W. He said all of his girls needed roses.

Today was a big day. First, Mommy and I watched Olympic Curling. Mommy loved it... Ithought it was a bit boring so I took a nap. Mommy then got ready while I watched the Westminnister Dog Show with Bonnie. Those puppies were so cute!

When Mommy was finally pretty, we went to see Dr. Mindy. I'm now 16 lbs 9 oz and 26 inches long! The worst part of the day was my 2 shots! I didn't like them and I don't think I'll ever like them! However, Mommy made up for it by doing something fun with me - I ate squash! I loved it!!!

I miss you so much, Daddy. I can't wait for you to come home soon!

Love,

Princess Sabine meets the Evil Doer and the other interesting folk

While Mommy and I were in Kansas City I got to meet lots of interesting people! One night Uncle Trever came to town and we all went over to Uncle Dave & Tia Laura's new house. That's where I came eye to eye with the Evil Doer!

Actually it was E.D. (ee dee), a cute kitty that was as interested in me as I was in her. Tia Laura was a bit nervous about the two of us getting together, but Mommy didn't seem to mind... at least she didn't let me know if she was. I had a great time and their house is really pretty. I hope I get to visit them again.

Later, we went to Daddy's office... and missed Uncle Larry AGAIN!!! Mommy said it was her fault this time. This photo looks so professional, like we should be in a TV show or something. I wonder what kind of crazy show that would be?! If you have any suggestions, please send them to me via the comments button below.

Uncle Larry, I promise I will make Mommy get her act together sooner! (oh, she said it was actually me that made us late. oops. Hey, I'm just a baby, what do you expect?)

I love you and miss you soooo much, Daddy! Mommy looks really pretty in her new necklace, bracelet and earrings!

Love,
