I'm much bigger than this now, but I wanted to start Sabine's blog with one of her earliest photos. This was taken in July. Now it is almost October.
Recently she dropped lower into my pelvis and so for some odd reason I feel thinner... maybe it is because she is lower and I can see more of my lap when I sit down. Right now I can feel her moving inside of me. Her little feet are wiggling near my ribs and her hands (or head?) lower in my pelvis. Movement is the oddest feeling. when I first felt Sabine move, I thought it was just gas.... now I know the difference. Last night she kept me up with her dancing and acrobatics along with heartburn. The end of heartburn is one thing that I"m looking forward to when she is born. And I've
finally developed a craving -
watermelon! So far tonight I've eaten 1/4 of a small melon which means I'm getting lots of exercise as I run to the bathroom frequently.October 17th is coming up quickly. There is much I still need/want to do to get ready for this little one. Kip and I hope that she'll come a bit early.... preferrably next weekend. I've been talking to her and suggesting that she make an early appearance; we'll see how well she minds!
I washed nearly all of little Sabine's clothes today. I can't believe how
tiny her socks are! She has onsies and sleepers and a couple of footed pajamas. My mother has gone crazy with shopping for her first granddaughter so I've restrained myself from buying many clothes. However, I did buy a box of diapers and wipes in bulk from Sam's on Thursday. Hopefully next week I'll have the car seat installed in my car.
Well, time for bed for Sabine and I. Daddy called earlier and we were both happy to hear his voice.
XOXO
Love you Daddy
