I can't wait for my Daddy to hold me and play with me! In the meantime, I'll post here so he can see what I'm up to!

Meeting Dr Tom Osborne

Wow! Today Mommy and I got to meet Dr. Tom Osborne - US Representative from the 3rd district (that means the rural 2/3 of Nebraska or everything but Lincoln and Omaha) He was also the football coach for the Cornhuskers. If you've ever been in Nebraska then you know how important this meeting was! Mommy, Grandma W and I sat at the end of the 2nd row right behind Dr Tom and his wife Nancy. Nancy was really nice to me and said I was really cute - of course.
After Dr. Tom's speech (he's running for governor) he took some questions. Mommy was the 3rd person to ask him a question. She said that she grew up in Clay Center and after working for the Japanese government for 11 years she's back because Daddy is in Iraq. Then she asked a question about the Japanese Beef trade. I have no idea what beef is yet, but it seemed to be important because Dr. Tom was impressed with Mommy. After he answered Mommy's question he said with tears in his eyes he wanted to thank Daddy for what he's doing. He had just come home from his 4th tour of Iraq and was in the same place as Daddy. Later when Dr Tom was leaving the meeting he went over to Mommy and gave her a big hug and asked if she was doing ok with Daddy being in Iraq. Mommy said she's hanging in there but it's tough some days. They were both crying a little bit. Mrs Osborne gave Mommy a big hug too. Mommy really likes Dr Tom and said he's the only politician she'd trust. Mommy can explain why if anyone needs to know.
Daddy called when we came home. He said I had my first political meeting - he thinks I'll be the first woman president... maybe. I'm still exploring all the things that are out in this world. Daddy wanted to wish me a "Happy 3-month birthday" I love him so much.
Love you Daddy! Love, Sabine (Mommy & Bonnie, too)

It's great to see you posting again baby, I love reading them. I wish I could be there to check on your stitches, or whatever else you need me to do. I love you both so much and live to be home with you.
